January 5, 2010 Atlanta, GA. Children’s author and entrepreneur Lori Lite will return to the ABC reality series “Shark Tank” Friday, Jan. 8, marking her first appearance on the show since August 2009, when “Shark” real estate mogul Barbara Corcoran offered to invest in Lite’s up-and-coming company Stress Free Kids, which produces books and CDs that help to reduce stress and anxiety in children. Since that episode aired, Borders stores nationwide now carry Lite’s books including “Angry Octopus,” which provides positive techniques for helping kids manage stress and “Affirmation Weaver,” which contains positive messages for helping kids build positive self esteem.
“Borders is the first retail chain to give me nationwide placement in their stores. I love that Borders believes in me and my books, which truly do help children live stress-free lives.”
Lite recently entertained and relaxed a crowd of children attending a Long Beach, Calif. Borders event, during which Lite read from “Affirmation Weaver.” The children took deep breaths and listened as Lite read from this believe-in-yourself story. “It was thrilling to see a large group of children repeating positive statements,” said Lite.
