I came across the Boy and a Bear book about 4 years ago just by searching through a search engine online for books that had relaxations for kids.

My son was very highly active and was later diagnosed with ADHD along with Sensory Processing Disorder when he was 2 and 4 years of age. So before the diagnosis I had no idea what I was dealing with or how to help him and our family deal with this.

When he was about 3 I came across this book and I special ordered it from Chapters (Canadian Book store chain much like Barnes and Noble) it came in and we started it right away! I cannot believe how well this worked for him…the breathing techniques helped him even while getting a needle at the doctor or just having to learn how to take deep breaths. I would and still use the term “breath like the Boy and the Bear”.

After he was diagnosed with ADHD I decided to look into more Lori Lite books and came across all the CD’s available on Amazon.com. I have searched in Canada and the US at several large chain book stores unsuccessfully having them in stock. They are however only available as special order… this is very disappointing!

Being that the CD’s are titled “Indigo…” I learned all about the term and what it all meant to be an Indigo, Something not well known or heard of here in Canada. We have 4 CD’s Indigo Oceans, Indigo Dreams, Wellness Garden and I also have the Adult Indigo Cd.

And we love love love them so much. We have been using them for the past 3 years!

My son really likes the Angry Octopus story the best and listens to the cd’s EVERY NIGHT at bedtime.

I am happy to report that he is almost 7 and have his ADHD almost entirely under control without medication with some help from the Lori Lite books and Cd’s.

I was so happy about the Shark Tank show and getting your name out there.

I pass along your products to whomever I come into contact with regarding Children’s mental health and/or just parents in need of some relaxation techniques for their children and selves. I have passed it to our community mental health clinic as well as Kids Ability another organization helping children with special needs and to the school as well.
